Berlin-based skateboarder Denny Pham takes filmmakers Modest Department around the hometown they share in Modest Meets – Denny Pham.

Berlin is such a creative and open-minded place…people actually come here to be creative…it’s just really open for skateboarding…

Pham was born in Rostock in the North of Germany but moved to Berlin because “summers are nice up there but for skating it’s not really good.”

The video features some of Berlin’s hottest skate spots – Warschauer Straße and Park am Gleisdreieck – as well as the East Side Gallery and the Pallasseum (a brutalist 1970s block of flats).

If you can’t get enough of Pham and skateboarding in Berlin, have a read of this interview with Highsnobiety, where he talks about the best Berlin skate spots.
